- Signature size is limited to 450 pixels wide by 180 pixels high. If you have something that is slightly different (say 500x100), send me a PM and I’ll let you know if it’s okay. However, huge sigs aren’t allowed since it makes the forum load slowly for people on dialup or with slower PCs. Current sigs may stay so as long as they are not grossly over the limits.

- Avatar size is 140x140.

- Do not take someone else’s avatar or signature without permission. I consider this to be almost as bad as plagiarism. Steal someone else’s graphics and they will be removed and you will be warned.

- When you post a new story, you must include a story rating in the titleRating Guide to help determine what to classify your story. Too many people have not been doing this and it makes classifying stories very difficult. Please do this in the future.

- Include a brief summary in the topic description, especially if it is in the General FanFic folder.

- Please post reviews when you have time. Authors love that! If you don’t like something about a story and want to review it, you MUST be polite. You can be critical of the author’s premise, storyline, and such but under NO circumstances will personal attacks be tolerated. Also, do not post “I don’t like it” as a review. Be prepared to explain your reasoning in a respectful and mature manner. On the opposite side, for all the authors, do NOT take criticism as a personal attack or retaliate against someone who has taken time to read your story and offer their opinion.

- Deliberate Plagiarism of ANY kind will not be tolerated and will result in an immediate ban. This is the one rule that is not open for discussion or debate. Plagiarism is the worst sin that an author can commit and I take a very, very dim view of it. If plagiarism is bad enough to have someone expelled from graduate school then it is more than enough to get you banned from this forum.

- Familiarize yourself with the Forumer Terms of Service.

- Penalties for violating the rules can range from having your post deleted and a warning from the mods to having your account deleted. Plagiarism, posting porn, posting illegal material, or deliberate trolling are the only things I would ban outright on the first offense.
